Margaret Jean Harder was born May 12, 1922, to John M and Sarah (Enns) Harder at Butterfield, MN. She received her education at District #30 Country School. Margaret was a life-long member of the First Mennonite Church, Mt. Lake, MN. On May 20, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage to John Adrian at the First Mennonite Church. They made their home and farmed north of Butterfield until moving to the edge of Butterfield in the early 80s. She was very independent and taught her children to stand up for themselves. For many years she taught Sunday school and was very active in the Ladies Mission Society. Margaret loved music and was an avid reader. She volunteered with the St James/Mankato Hospice program for over 25 years and also for Worthington Hospice Compassionate Care since 2011.
