On Saturday, November 2nd, 2019, Nancy Larson beloved wife and mother of three passed away at age 71 at Mayo Hospital in St. James, MN.
Nancy was born February 3, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD to Edwin and Delores Pederson. Nancy grew up in Echo, MN with two brothers Jim and Allan. Nancy attended Echo High School graduating in 1965.
On July 20, 1967, Nancy married Robert Larson and together they had three children; daughters Wendi and Jeni and son Paul, who died in infancy.
Bob and Nancy moved to St. James, MN in 1968 where they made their home. Nancy worked at a variety of jobs including St. Industries, Vandenburg Foods in Madelia, and finally Mayo Health Services in St. James from which she retired in 2013.
Nancy had an incredible spirit and loved taking care of others. She had a sharp wit and incredible sense of humor that she used often to put people at ease and make people laugh. She was a prolific knitter and did her best to read every book in the local library. She loved spending time with her family; taking every chance she could to spoil her grandsons.
Visitation for Nancy will be held on Friday November 8, 2019 from 5-7pm with a prayer service following at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.
Nancy is survived by brothers Jim (Debbie) Pederson of Brookings, SD, and Allan (Cheryl) Pederson of Jasper, MN; son-in-laws Gary Anderson (Wendi) of St. James, and Jeremy Johnson (Jeni) of Mankato, grandsons Nicholas and Noah Anderson; nephews Justin, Mark, and Michael Pederson; Niece Julie Pederson and grandniece Jazlynn Pederson. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, infant son Paul, and daughters Wendi and Jeni.
