Violet Evers was born on December 5, 1927 in Sanborn, MN to Albert and Olga H. (Wrase) Seligman. Violet grew up and attended school in rural Sanborn. She married Roy Evers on April 18, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County. To this union, 1 son and 2 daughters were born. The couple farmed with Roy's parents. In 1977, they moved to Lamberton. Violet was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. She enjoyed farming, fishing, taking care of her grandchildren, visiting her children and spending time with her great-great grandchildren. Violet is survived by her son, Gary Evers of Lamberton, MN, daughters, Linda (Mark) Detlefsen of Lester Prairie, MN and Diane (Rick) Peterreins of New Ulm, MN, 8 grandchildren, Joseph (Lacy) Detlefsen, James (Tawnya) Peterreins, Jessica Ehlers, Kevin Evers, Scott Evers, Jesse (Rachel) Evers, Sheri (Brian) Gross and Hope (Clint) Mack, 12 great grandchildren, Breishen and Carter Peterreins, Jack and Ethan Gross, Shea and Graysen Evers, Norah and Violet Mack, Brecken Ehlers, Lauren Detlefsen and Liam and Kade Christopherson and sister, Irene Prechel of Alexandria, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy, brother, Edwin Seligman, sister, Esther Bunkers, brothers-in-law, Lloyd Warner, Larry Bunkers and Henry Prechel.
