Obituary of Clifford 'Cliff' John Beermann

Clifford 'Cliff' John Beermann was born on November 7, 1916, to Albert and Martha (Tesch) Beermann in Paullina, IA. He was baptized December 10, 1916, and confirmed May 25, 1930. Cliff attended Zion Lutheran School in Sanborn through the 8th grade. He was united in marriage to Cleo Johnson on May 10, 1941, at Sharon Lutheran Church. Cliff farmed until 1966 and then worked for Renco Gas, managed the Lamberton Liquor Store, and worked for the city of Lamberton. He was a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and served as an usher and church taxi driver for many years. Cliff enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing and road trips. He especially loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.

Clifford John Beermann died Monday, February 29, 2016, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 99 years.

He is survived by his children - Bonnie (Darlo) Kaehler of Hillman, MN, Sharon (Ed) Fisher of Cedar Rapids, IA, Linda Hayes (Jim Sorenson) of Savage, MN, Nancy (Paul) Bartunek of Savage, MN, Dean (Elaine) Beermann of Lamberton, and Cindy (Terry) Stage of Redwood Falls; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and 1 great-grandson to be born in April; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Cleo in 2011; son-in-law Charles Hayes; brother Dale Beerman; and sister Irma "Toots" Monson. Cliff will be deeply missed by family and friends.
