Obituary of Burton Elmo Olson
Burton Elmo Olson was born December 14, 1918 in Adrian Township to Olaf and Minnie (Wohler) Olson. He attended country school in rural Brown County. On July 21, 1956 he married Marcia Bredesen at First Lutheran Church in St. James. Burton farmed in Watonwan and Brown counties for most of his life. In April 1981 he retired and moved to St. James where he established a sewing machine and small appliance repair business. He earned his pilt's license in 1947 and was an active member of the NFO. He enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a member of the Christian Men's Fellowship group.
Burton Elmo Olson, 85, of St. James, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Village in St. James.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Olson of St. James; daughters, Twyla Peasley and her husband Jim of Richfield, MN, and Tricia Oeltjenbruns and husband Rick of Mt. Lake; sons,Kent Olson of Dryden, NY, and Keith Olson of St. Paul, six grandchildren, Julia, Jonathan, Laura and Linnea Peasley and Kyle and Kory Olson.
