Obituary of Floyd Knewtson

Floyd was born on March 28, 1938 to Allen and Louise (Reitz) Knewtson in Good Thunder, MN. He attended several schools, graduating from, Madelia High School in 1956. Floyd married Marilyn (Jensen) Knewtson on April 15, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. He farmed all his life and enjoyed building much of his farm machinery including 2 tractors, several garden tractors and many other pieces of equipment. He also did most of his own repairs, as well as helping his many friends and neighbors. He enjoyed several camping trips, traveling and his many spring and fall fishing trips with his dad, uncle and friends.

 

Floyd Donald Knewtson age 80, of Madelia, MN died on November 3, 2018, at the Madelia Community Hospital.

 

Floyd is survived by his wife Marilyn Knewtson; 2 sons, Brian (Susan) and Kevin (Robin) Knewtson, all of Madelia; grandchildren, Mary, Karen (Shane), Sarah, Allen, Briana, Erin, Andrew (Vanessa), Michael, Molly (Jason), Lee, Eli, Randy (Meghanne); several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers/sisters-in-law, Vernelle Hatch, Dennis Jensen, Darryl (Joann) Jensen, Curtis Archerd, Ardith (Bernardo) Guerrero, Joyce Currie, Jan (Randy) Lokre, along with many nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaVonne Turco; brothers-in-law, Bruce Hatch, Terry Jensen; sisters-in-law, MaryLou Jensen, Lois Archerd and Elaine Jensen.
