Obituary of Twila Mattison
Twila Mattison was born on August 8, 1941, to William and Johanna (Stadtlander) Sell in Windom, MN. She graduated in 1959 from Storden High School. On July 31, 1960, Twila was united in marriage to Glen Mattison in Windom. Twila and Glen raised four children - Cheryl, Gaylen, Paula, and Gary. Twila later worked for Valley View Manor in the Housekeeping Department. She was a member of Highwater Lutheran Church in rural Lamberton and was a member of WELCA and was a Sunday School teacher. Twila was also a member of Swapit Club. She enjoyed time with her family, especially their annual vacations to the lake. Twila also enjoyed traveling, fishing, baking, sewing, quilting, dancing especially Polka, games, and going out on Saturday night. She loved life and enjoyed every moment of it.
Twila died on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 78.
She is survived by her husband Glen of Lamberton; children - Cheryl (Doug) Prins of Redwood Falls, Gaylen (Diane) Mattison of Lamberton, Paula (John) Meidl of Lakeville, Gary (Penny) of Lamberton; grandchildren - Alecia (Christopher) Young, Megan (Ben) Olsem, Gavin (Morganne) Mattison, Joshua Meidl, Jessica Meidl, and Josiah Meidl; and great grandchildren - Raelynn Mattison and Macy Mattison; brother Arlo (Pat) Sell; and sister Marlene (Arlo) Engler. Twila was preceded in death by her parents and brother DuWaine Sell.
