Obituary of Lenore Krueger

Lenore F. Krueger, age 94, of Springfield, MN died on January 10, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield, MN. Service will be held at the church on Saturday at 10:30 am. Please use the south entrance of the church for services. The clergy will be Pastor Tricia Mattson. Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery in Springfield, MN. Lenore Florence Krueger was born on July 6, 1926 to Ernest and Laura (Radtke) Schwartz in Northstar Township, Brown County, MN. She attended country school district 56 and then worked for area families until marriage. On September 2, 1947, Lenore was united in marriage to Melvin Krueger at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. She helped with the farming and trucking business with Melvin. Lenore was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served on the altar guild. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children - James (Donna) Krueger of Springfield and Jolene (Kevin) Schwartz of Springfield; grandchildren - Andrew (Lindsey) Krueger, William (Kayla) Krueger, and Timothy Krueger; and great grandchildren - Otto and Madalyn Lenore. Lenore was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, sister Arleen (Richard) Bast, brother and sister in childhood, and sister-in-law Lucille (Delbert) Polzin. _
