After both Melvin and Mother lost their respective spouses they found love again with each other. It was quite noticeable how they enjoyed sitting on their love seat recliner holding hands for long stretches. Mother loved doing this as well as when Melvin led morning devotions, prayer, worshiped with her at church and when he sang. Both loved singing along with classic Gospel tunes.
The Apostle Paul writes in Thessalonians that Christ followers grieve as people who have hope. Melvin now has the peace that only God can give, with Martha and all those who have gone before, in the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven. No more pain, nor sorrow. I thank Jesus for this wondrous gift.
