Willard James Ratzlaff was born on April 26, 1938 in Mountain Lake, MN to his parents, Henry and Sara Ratzlaff. Willard lived his entire life in Mt. Willard attended the Mt. Lake Christian School from kindergarten through the 6th grade. He was a faithful member of the EMB Church (Cornerstone Bible Church) for his entire life and loved to attend services whenever possible. Willard’s final years were spent at the Good Samaritan Home in Mt. Lake. Even with his physical handicap, Willard was able to work for many years with his father on the family farm northwest of Mt. Lake. When dad passed away in 1975, Willard moved to town with his mother and later lived alone at the Eventide Home. He was able to keep busy mowing lawns for a number of customers, including at his local church. Then in Springtime he could be found tilling gardens all over town. In later years Willard could be seen cruising around town, first with his pick-up truck and later with his motorized cart. Willard loved to go uptown for coffee. Willard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis, his sister Pauline (Friesen) and his brother-in-law John Ratzlaff. Willard is survived by his sister Darlene (Duane) Bixel of Blaine, MN, his sister Rose (Reese) Johnson of Odebolt, IA, his sister Dee of Salem, OR, and his brother Ron (June) of Charlotte, NC. and by his sister-in-law Faye Ratzlaff of Mt. To God be all the glory for a life well lived. Rest in peace dear Willard. We will see you soon and for all eternity.
